Indoor Air Quality & Assessment

Indoor Air Quality (IAQ) refers to the air quality within buildings and structures, as it relates to the health and comfort of building occupants. There are many factors that can contribute to and/or are related to IAQ:

  • Microbials
  • HVAC conditions
  • Building Materials
  • Chemicals
  • Volatile Organic Compounds
  • Pests

Abatement Restoration provides a wide-range of consulting services to assist building owners, managers and contractors in providing healthy, energy efficient building environments. We provide proactive and incident response services to assess and correct IAQ issues. In addition, we offer periodic proactive IAQ testing to document environmental and comfort conditions for our clients as part of the building management protocol. We also provide IAQ testing in response to complaints or event issues.

Pollutants are commonly found in the indoor environment and can be responsible for a variety of issues. These issues range from irritation of eyes, nose or throat, to dizziness, headaches and fatigue. There is considerable uncertainty around what concentration or length of exposure is necessary to create specific health problems. People react differently to the exposure to pollutants.
